About NRG Pon

French-born, Amsterdam-based artist NRG Pon works in a unique style of Japanese painting. Learning from the great sensei Shoko Ohta in Tokyo, the inspirations she received from a rich and deep-seeded culture paved the way for her mastering the skills of sumi-e and nihonga with a contemporary style.

For 30 years she has honed her talent, and delved into her experimentation with different mediums such as acrylic, ink and oil. Perfecting her techniques in Japanese ink and pigment painting, NRG Pon adds her own contemporary flair through her art.

NRG Pon’s work is a reflection of her life and the emotions of her experiences and her surroundings. Exploring nature and spirituality, these two main themes are continuously intertwined within the messages expressed in her art. She wants to bring peace and tranquility to people through her works and invites the viewer to go on their own spiritual journey through the inspiration her art conveys.

NRG Pon’s works are held in private collections globally. She is also a professional Ikebana artist and art framer. She offers classes in Amsterdam for Japanese painting, Ikebana and framing.
